Live Q&A with Change Makers (a sorta reunion)

As I often shout from the rooftops, I’m fortunate to support the most brilliant, heartfelt and badass humans ever.

Being of service to you keeps me keepin’ on.

But there’s something else that propels me to take on the kind of back end organization that comes with leading groups, weekends and trainings.

I want you to have what I get to have.

Each other. Together. In one place.

Creating a dedicated group for change makers to practice following energy around work, life and leadership while also connecting with each other has been an especially huge motivator.

Day by day doing your best to make a positive contribution in your work life amidst individual and organizational resistance can be lonely, exhausting and demoralizing.

It’s been a blessing to offer following energy as a daily practice and restorative harbor which nourishes and connects kindred travelers even after the journey completes.

With registration closing on October 3rd, I’ve been contemplating how to give you a sense of what Following Energy for Change Makers is like.

And so next Thursday, September 28th noon - 1:00pm PT you’re invited to a live Q&A which includes Change Makers across groups (a kind of reunion).

A bunch of former participants are attending to reflect on following energy (🙏🏼😍). Questions about Following Energy for Change Makers are welcome.

I’ll also offer a brief program update, including a new bonus training with trauma literacy coach Carlee Adamson (for details scroll down on the Change Maker page).

This is an opportunity for you —brilliant, heartfelt and badass humans — to meet and connect.

Each other. Together. In one place.

Sign-up to attend and/or receive a recording.

If you can’t make it, you’re also welcome to send a question.

Hope to see you there.

With such deep gratitude,

Staci

Ps. If you’re interested in this fall’s cohort of Change Makers, the final step is a zoom visit with me. The door closes October 3rd.

Pps. This program is a form of leadership development which has been paid for by companies. Payment plans are available.

Navigating ADHD with Following Energy

Following the energy can sometimes mean holding and living into questions for a long time.

Many years ago, I began noticing ADHD when clients who are moms started tracking differences with their children.

As these smart, intuitive, dedicated and loving women (many of you😍) began naming ADHD as a possibility for their kids, they also started wondering about their own unique wiring. These keen observations began making me wonder about my wiring too.

Then one day, in the midst of an embodied leadership group, ADHD came up, several participants self-identified and when someone commented casually, “following energy is really helping me with my ADHD,” they all nodded and smiled.

My jaw dropped. My stomach tightened. An inner voice exclaimed, “Holy shit, are you catching this?”

Why all the internal fuss?

Well, in 2008 my world got rocked when every woman in an ongoing group I was holding shared they’d been clinically diagnosed with anxiety at some point, and how energy healing had given them something western medicine couldn’t. Realizing energy work could soften fear not only crystallized how I could serve women with anxiety, it helped me recognize fear as a teacher for following energy overall.

Fast forward and this second holy shit moment introduced a new question: Was it possible that following energy could also be a resource for navigating ADHD?

Why all the internal fuss?

Well, in 2008 my world got rocked when every woman in an ongoing group I was holding shared they’d been clinically diagnosed with anxiety at some point, and how energy healing had given them something western medicine couldn’t. Realizing energy work could soften fear not only crystallized how I could serve women with anxiety, it helped me recognize fear as a teacher for following energy overall.

Fast forward and this second holy shit moment introduced a new question: Was it possible that following energy could also be a resource for navigating ADHD?

I began tracking this deeply in work and life. Along the way, I met Jesse Kauffman, a psychologist specializing in ADHD through an amazing coaching program with Annie Schuessler (🙏🏼🥰). He and I started connecting and exchanging ideas, though I later discovered he’d heard about following energy with me before.

Jesse is not only a wonderful human, he’s a compassionate psychologist who understands the limitations of western approaches and is curious about other modalities. Perhaps because he has a creative ADHD brain too.

When it came time to restart my podcast, a conversation with Jesse about ADHD and following energy was at the top of my list.

I’m grateful he said yes. I’m grateful for our wildly insightful conversation.

And most of all, I’m grateful to my beloved bad ass clients for allowing me to hold, follow and learn alongside you all these years. Thank you.

Season 3, Episode 3: Navigating ADHD with Following Energy

Can following energy be a resource for navigating ADHD? Join Staci and guest psychologist Jesse Kauffman who specializes in ADHD for an incredibly illuminating conversation. As Jesse and Staci explore ADHD from psychological, somatic, energetic and personal perspectives, they realize just how supportive following energy can be for navigating ADHD inside oneself and daily life. For anyone who has ADHD or knows someone with ADHD, don’t miss this informative, compassionate and liberating episode.

Ps. Did you notice how the story above might be an example of how following energy can bless your life and potentially expand your work?😃🙃😘

Special Early Bird (shhh) + Following Energy for Change Makers

The door for fall Following Energy for Change Makers opens today with an early bird bonus I’m sharing with you first (because: thank you).

Based on the incredible participants so far, following energy for change makers can be for you whether have big job titles, own small businesses, are mid-level managers or hold space for change as healers, coaches and therapists.

At the root, Change Makers is for intentional people who want to embody a different kind of possibility— unhurried, compassionate, creative, delightful or whatever intention they choose — in work, life and leadership (codependent no more!😘).

In fact, while updating my website with new program features and testimonials, I noticed the word on most everyone’s lips was “embodied”:

  • Interacting with the eight teachers from my book as a framework to follow energy felt embodied

  • Somatic practices activated embodied learning

  • Exploring how energy might be “talking” (and guiding) through specifics in daily life is an embodied practice.

These reflections make my soul smile wide.

Because the more each of us embraces body as a nexus for shifting paradigms inside, the closer we’ll get to birthing a different — unhurried, compassionate, creative and delightful — way of life for us all.

And it’s time.

Special early bird bonus news:

Following Energy for Change Makers starts in October but as soon as you sign up, your journey can begin with content on intention setting.

And.

You’ll also receive immediate access to unlimited asynchronous mentoring with me.

If this appeals to you, the next step is a zoom visit to see if Change Makers is a fit.

This gives us extra time together. The more I get to know you, the more I can be of support, and the more fun we can have together.

We’ll begin exploring intention setting work so by our first group meeting in mid-October, you’ll be extra ready to dive deep and fly high with following energy.

Are you a recovering type A change maker?

You've probably had moments between an ending and a beginning where you get to reflect and take stock, yes?

Since completing another (magnificent) 7Directions Facilitator Training last December and almost finishing the fall cohort of Following Energy for Change Makers, I've been realizing how much of my somatic energy healing work supports leadership development.

When I say leadership, I'm talking about feeling like you have agency and resilience in your life regardless of your job title.

I want you to feel empowered. Strong. Capable. The subtitle of my book, How to Grow Through Whatever Life Throws Your Way, still stands.

The participants in Following Energy have also been reflecting who this practice is for.

It's for people who are seekers and learners. Who realize the way we're approaching life and work isn't balanced, sustainable or pleasurable. Who want another way but even after years of yoga or talk therapy, still don't know how to get out of a codependent relationship with work (here's why).

They realize it's time to let go and find a new way, but they aren't sure about how to actually let go and find their new way.

Some of the people I've been grateful to support have a big job title while others own small businesses, are mid-level managers or practice leadership through coaching and psychotherapy.

They may or may not consider themselves leaders but they do want to make a difference in the world without sacrificing their well being. Most are parents. And most grapple with creating a work-life balance while navigating high sensitivity and/or neurodiversity in their lives.

While experience with energy healing varies, everyone is curious about how working with energy and somatic wisdom through structured learning with individual mentoring might be key.

These brave and heart-centered people are recovering type A change makers ready to practice following energy to find their own way.

Could this be you too? I'm happy to hold some space for you to find out.

Following energy creates both-and living

After the torrential rains, the shining blue skies on the San Mateo Coast felt like a gift. Like the tides were turning to greet 2023 with some earnest joy.

Last Friday, while making a video announcing Spring Following Energy for Change Makers a rainbow actually appeared.

Then I got some upsetting news about an old family friend's health. Layoffs started spreading. More shootings began, including one in Half Moon Bay just minutes from where my 27 year-old daughter and I had walked our pups that very same day.

I don't want to be in denial but it also doesn't serve anyone if I fall into a depressive heap.

Miki Johnson, who also holds Following Energy as a somatic energy guide for Turning Dead Ends into Doorways, remarked, "It's the tools and capacity I've grown through following energy that's keeping me standing right now."

I said. "What does that look like for you?"

Miki responded, "Following energy helps me stay present in the moment and grounded in myself. Working consciously with difficult energy like fear, regret, and shame helps me move through them so I can still show up empowered and resourced with the people and work I love."

Yup. Following energy holds me through hard times but it also helps me appreciate blue skies and rainbows.

Following energy can facilitate both-and living in work, life and leadership for you too.

This brings me full circle to the video I made for you. So here's the rainbow along with some benefits that can come from Following Energy for Change Makers:

Please stay safe and appreciate the good moments.

Ps. Spring Following Energy for Change Makers is now open. To receive early bird pricing, schedule an exploratory (FUN) zoom with me before February 10th. If you know any change makers ready to practice a new paradigm of work and leadership in daily life, please share this email.
